Physiotherapy involves a range of treatments, including manipulation, massage, fitness exercise, electrotherapy, wax therapy and hydrotherapy.
Facilities Available:
Care of the elderly people: Management of arthritis, osteoporosis, and hip joint replacements, helping them to stay active and independent, reduce pain and improve fitness.
Orthopaedic Patients: Treating conditions and injuries affecting the bones, joints and muscles, such as sports injuries and arthritis, as well as assisting with rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery. Strength training, heat packs (applying a controlled amount of heat to affected joints), and electrical stimulation (tiny electrical impulses to stimulate the nerves and muscles) are sometimes used alongside physiotherapy for orthopaedic problems.
Paediatric Patients: Management of cerebral palsy and spina bifida.
Neurological Patients: Management of multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke and cerebral palsy.
Cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation: Management of patients after heart surgery, heart attacks and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
